Obituary for Timothy Berger
Timothy Berger, 61, of Pekin passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born August 16, 1955 in Peoria to Chester and Ruby Hanchett Berger. He married Linda Baskas; she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Ashlyn (Zachary) Gilbert; son, Nicholas (Leah) Berger; brother, Jon (Stephanie) Berger; sisters, Karen (Kenneth) Roberts, Gayle Berger, Spring McBride; nine nieces and nephews; seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews and his beloved dog, Bubba. His parents; sister, Marrianna and brother, Jeffery preceded him in death. Timothy worked as head custodian for Glen Oak School in Peoria School District 150 for 14 years. He loved and took great pride in the children at his school. He was a previous member of Illinois Valley Kennel Club. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Pekin First Church of God at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church. Pastor Kim Bacon will officiate.
