Obituary for Katherine Johanson
Katherine Johanson, 84, of Canton formerly of Peoria passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born January 14, 1934 in Farmington to Elmer and Orpha Custer Day. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Johanson and son, Daniel Johanson. Her parents and sisters, Peggy Conrad and Anne Bolerjack also preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Paul) Hyneman; sons, Brad (Theresa) Johanson, Rod Johanson; daughter-in-law, Becky Johanson and grandchildren, Adam and Ben Johanson, Sara, Jessica, Shannon Hyneman and Marissa Johanson. Katherine was kind, courageous, and truly enjoyed life. She was a friend to many and an inspiration to many more. She will be greatly missed. Katherine was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bartonville where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bartonville or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Glasford in her name.
