Jackie D. Bollinger Sr, 93, of Morton passed away August 13, 2024 at home with his loving wife and daughter, by his side.
Jack was born Novemeber 23, 1930 in Rushville, IL to Glen and Helen Bolllinger. Jack joined the US Navy in 1948. He was stationed on the USS Fargo and USS Gherabi. He returned from the Navy and met the love of his life, Marge Seddon. Marge and Jack married August 28, 1952 and have shared 71 years together by each others side.
Jack worked at Kroger and retired as produce manager in 1991. He served on the board of the Evangel College and was a Deacon at First Assembly of God in Peoria. He traveled the world on mission work to spread the message of Jesus Christ.
Jack is survived by his wife Marge, his daugher Karen (Dan) Hoerr of Morton. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Barb Bollinger of East Peoria. Five grandchildren, Brett (Jen) Hoerr, Jenny (Jake) Lamb, Krissy (Chad) Anderson, Ashley (Mike) Wolters, and Trent (Kristina) Hoerr. Ten great-grandchildren; Ireland, Brody, Hayden, Taylor, Graclin, Philip, Madigan, John, Theodore, and Moira.
Jack is also survived by 5 bonus grandchildren that he loved as his own; Dirk, Danell, Brooke, Blake, and Grant.
He was preceded in death by his son Jack Jr. and his great grandson Jackson.
Jack will especially be remembered for his love of the Lord and his love of his family.
A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to the First Assembly of God in Peoria (Peoria First Assembly of God - Give).
