Linda “Redhead” Kay Rogers, 70, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
She was born July 9, 1951, in Peoria to John and Eleanor Fleming Melaga. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly; nephews, Steven (Krista) and Jeff; nieces, Lisa (Bryan), Marissa and Tiffany; brothers, Bob and Terry (Wendy) and sister, Debra.
Linda was beautifully spirited and fiercely independent. She was always authentic and could get straight to the point without exception. Deep down to her core, Linda cherished her family. She was a Beatles fanatic and loved Gun Smoke and Wagon Train. Every week, Linda enjoyed playing trivia as a “Brainiac.” Her smile and sense of humor touched the hearts of many. Linda brought light to our lives and was truly one of a kind. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 6-9pm at Pizza Works. We will be celebrating her with a night of Beatles Karaoke.
