Steven J. Scott, 68, of Groveland died January 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born in Sterling, IL, the son of the late Richard and Patricia (Harrison) Scott. He graduated from Sterling High School. He retired from Frito Lay in 2014 with over 25 years with the company.
Steve enjoyed fishing, yard work, wildlife, sitting on his swing and sports, particularly the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He was an amazing man who loved his family and friends and spending time with them. All that knew him have special memories of his sense of humor and ornery personality.
Survivors include his wife, Penny of Groveland; daughter, Erin (Aaron) Bailey of Peoria, AZ; daughter, Lindsey (Corey) O’Donnell of Groveland; son, Justin (Carrie) Scott of Bartonville; five grandchildren, Carson, Austen, Avery, Jack and Addison; two sisters, Valerie and Debbie and three brothers, Marty, Brian and Jeff.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to any local food pantry in his name.
