Obituary for Mary L. Hill
Mary L. (Roberts) Hill, 90, of Canton, IL passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Red Oaks Estates in Canton.

She was born on October 4, 1930 in Canton the daughter of J. Marion and Frances L. (Larson) Roberts.

She married Harold F. Hill on July 14, 1950 in Bryant, IL and celebrated 68 years of marriage preceding his death in 2019. Together they had five sons.

She is survived by her sons, H. Scott Hill, John (Barb) Hill, David (Shelby) Hill, Tom (Debbie) Hill, Chuck (Mary Ellen) Hill all of Canton. Along with nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, John Roberts; one sister, Sue (Roberts) Bishop; two grandsons; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.

She had several jobs outside the home, but most notably as the clerk for the Village of Bryant, a seamstress for Edwards Bridal Shop and working for both the Lairds Greenhouse in Bryant and Phillips Greenhouse in Canton.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, antique collecting and playing cards with all the gang.

Per her request cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or services. Burial of the ashes will be at a later date at the Maryville Cemetery in Bryant, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice Care which so very good to her and our family at; Compassus 2000 Pioneer Pkwy, Suite 24, Peoria, IL 61615 in her name.
