Obituary for David Lee Stoehr
David Lee Stoehr, 78, of Green Valley passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in South Pekin.
He was born August 7, 1942 at Pekin Hospital to Roy “Alvin” and Gertrude Underwood Stoehr. He was married four times.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Kay Stoehr and Donna (Henry) Stoehr.
He is survived by four sons, Roy Stoehr of Clarksville, TN, Joe Stoehr of Marquette Heights, David (Regina) Stoehr of Pekin, Ed (Angie) Stoehr of South Pekin; daughter, Stacey Hall of Pekin; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe (Vivian) Stoehr of Green Valley, Charles (Angela) Darling of Pekin; Larry (Penny) Stoehr of Ipava and two sisters, Sally Hasty of Manito and Alvina (Jeff) Rademacker of Mt. Sterling.
David was an Army Veteran and a 31-year member of the Delavan American Legion Post 382.
He was Road Commissioner of Malone Township for 4 years and retired from over the road trucking.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life service will be held in the spring at the Green Valley Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by his American Legion Post.
