Obituary for Norma C. Ellington
Norma C. Ellington, 84, of Peoria passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at her residence.
She was born October 29, 1936 in Peoria to Norman and Hazel Camp Risk. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married Rayburn “Ray” P. Ellington III May 15, 1981; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Scott (Kathy) Murphy, Theresa (Ramiro) Hernandez, Kathryn Murphy; stepchildren, Jay Ellington, Jon Ellington; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and siblings, Penelope Barrett, and Antonia Risk.
Norma worked for Caterpillar retiring in 1998. She loved her family very much. She was a member of Peoria Jazz Society and was a Master Gardener. She was very active in volunteer projects in the city. She helped to organize the Tricorn Park and the greenway on Western Ave. She was also a prior volunteer on the Rick Island Trail Project.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held at this time.
