Sandra Sue (Johnson) Salazar, 75, of Peoria passed away on October 29, 2016 at 12:25pm, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born January 20, 1941 in Pekin, IL to Edgar and Francis (Standard) Johnson. She married Ramon G Salazar, Sr on March 3, 1962 in North Pekin, IL, He proceeded her in death on April 15, 2014.

Mom would tell you two things about herself, she is very blessed and she is a people person. She loved to laugh and thought it was funny to send her children invitations to her wedding to a man who didn’t exist, you got us Mom! The best way to sum up Mom is that she loved unconditionally and accepted you for who you are. She also raised four strong children.
Mom and her family would like to thank her nurse, Misty and her CNA, Dawn for taking such good care of her and for loving her, she loved you too. We would also like to thank the rest of the OSF Hospice group who came in and cared for her. We would like to give a special thank you to Shellie, her homemaker, for taking such good care of her and being her friend for the last 6 years.
A celebration of life will be held on November 12, at 1:00p at EP!C which includes a visitation 2 hours before the celebration with a meal following.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the Penguin Project.
