Clarion Bower Henderson 88, of Eureka passed away on Saturday May 10, 2008 at Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. Born in Sandwich, IL on Oct 9, 1919 to Melvin and Dorothea Merwin Henderson. He Married Gladys M. Roth in Tremont on Nov 25, 1945, she survives along with his son Stephen (Linda) Henderson of Frankfort, daughter Linda Hinthorne of Kenosha, WI, brothers; Dr. John (Ruth) Henderson of Asheville, NC, Dr. Lehmann (Ruth) Henderson of Hot Springs, AR and 6 grand and 7 great grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Clarion served in the U.S. Air Forrce during WWII and worked in research at Illinois Foundation Seeds for 46 years, retiring in 1992. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at Maple Lawn Chapel in Eureka at 4 p.m. on Wednesday May 14,. Pastor Doug Hicks will officiate. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Maple Lawn Homes, Eureka Apostolic Christian Home or Methodist Hospice.
