Obituary for Ronald Lee Henderson
Ronald Lee Henderson 55 of Peoria passed away at 9 a.m. on Monday April 27, 2009 at Galesburg Terrace Nursing Center in Galesburg. Born in Peoria on October 31, 1953 to Sally (Whipp) Henderson who passed away in 1961 and Jesse Henderson who passed away on December 15, 2008 who’s memorial service was held on April 18, 2009 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Also preceding him in death were his sister Linda in 1998 and aunt Betty. Ron is survived by his stepmother Susan A. (Speiden) Henderson of Peoria, step-sisters; Denise Schumacher of Bloomington, Renee Schumacher of Chicago, step-brother John “Jack” Zillion of Peoria, uncle Bill (Mary) Whipp of Peoria, aunts; Irene (Thelburn) Knepp and Erma (Ed) Orr both of Bartonville and his dear friends at P.A.R.C., Glen Wehmer and Mary Hessling. Ron worked at P.A.R.C. and was a friend to every one. A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary 905 S 5th St. Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and private burial of cremains will in Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mary Colgan, Respite Homes and Citi Lift for all their help. Memorials may be made to P.A.R.C. Abts Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
