Obituary for Florence Dantone
Florence Eddy Dantone, 83, of Peoria passed away on Sunday October 30, 2011 at Proctor Hospital from a long battle of Heart Disease. Florence was born on September 30, 1928 in Peoria to Verna and Ed Sommer. Florence was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Surving is her husband of 62 years Charles “Chuck” Dantone, their 6 children: Dana, Kurt (Carol), Marty, Dean (Debreeze), Julie and Guy (Sue), grandchildren: Aaron, Brent, Kyle, Ryan, Shanna, Nathan, Alicia, Renata, Shirah, Megan, Travis, Courtney, Katie and Hana, great grandchildren: Kendra, Dillon, Tyler, Bella and Ariah. Along with many nieces, nephews, inlaws and cousins. Florence was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Bently and granddaughter Harmony Dantone. Florence was a graduate of Peoria Central High School. She worked at Fleming and Potter and Everything Personalized. Florence along with her husband Chuck were the owners of Dantone Greenhouses Inc for many years. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul church. Cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral mass will be held on Friday November 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul, Father Donald Henderson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Peoria. The family request no flowers and ask that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
