Obituary for Curtis Davies
Curtis Keith Davies, 68, of Washington passed away at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria on March 29, 2013. Born in Mayflower, AR on April 7, 1944 to Clordies and Wyoma Mae Ella Hancock Davies. He married Farrell Hartman in Washington on August 13, 1994, she survives along with his children: Camille Mandel of Maplewood, NJ; Chris Davies of FL; Curt ( Rachael) Davies of Lake Mills, WI; Cim ( Eugene) Collins of Springfield, IL; John Hallmann of Peoria, IL; Laura ( Jeremy Turner) Hallmann of Dunlap, IL; and Keith Treadwell of Springfield, IL. He also leaves behind his 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. His parents and sister preceded him in death. Curtis served in the Army during Vietnam and was self employed, working in Financial Services. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and loved his friends in the Adelphian class. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 12, at 11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church 116 NE Perry, Peoria, Dr. Robert Phillips, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church or Heartland Community Health Clinic.
