Obituary for William Denton Sr.
William E. Denton, Sr., 89, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Timbercreek in Pekin. He was born July 12, 1929 in West Plains, MO to William and Georgia Davis Denton. His parents and multiple siblings preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, William (Julia) Denton II, of Peoria; daughter, Lisa Downard of Pekin; grandchildren, Carol Lotz, Cody Lotz, Bryan Downard, Nicolas Downard, William Denton III, Kayla Cook, Johnathan Cook; seven great-grandchildren and previous wife, Carol Margaret Denton. William served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He worked as a truck driver for Gordons Transport and was a dedicated Teamster. He loved fishing and his favorite place to fish was Bennett Springs, MO. He was a loving father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
