William Arthur Boggs “Art”, 60, of Bellevue passed away June 12, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
He was born April 8, 1962, in Pekin to Arthur and Shirley Boggs. His father, Arthur Boggs, and stepfather, Melvin Taylor preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Taylor, two sisters, Malinda Johnson, of Santa Cruz, CA, and Diana Connell of East Peoria, IL and two brothers, Michael Boggs of Frostburg, MD and Steven Boggs of San Diego, CA.
Art served in the Navy as a Sonar Technician for 6 years. He was a school bus driver for First Student.
Art was loved by family and friends, and he loved family, friends, and animals of all kinds.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Abts Mortuary, 905 S. 5th St., Pekin, IL at 12:00 noon. Following will be a celebration of life at Avanti’s, 2320 E. Washington Street, East Peoria IL at
1:15 pm.
Donations can be made to the Peoria Humane Society.
