Obituary for Vivian Lowder

Vivian Delores Lowder, 79, of Van Orin, IL passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria, IL. She was born February 15, 1935 in Glasford, IL to George John and Agnes Amelia Sonnemaker Clauson. She married Robert L. Lowder Sr. September 14-15, 1962 in Canton, IL. He preceded her in death November 4, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters; two brothers; four sisters and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her daughters, Sonja (Randy) Whitehurst of Hanna City, IL, Debbie Kohl of Canton, IL, Brenda (Bob) Smith of Smithfield, IL, Patricia (Mike) Rynd of Blue Mound, IL, Vonda (Mike) Cabellero of Omaha, NE, Lisa (Bob) Konczak of Van Orin, IL; sons, Chuck (Kim) Varnes of Hanna City, IL, Robert L. Lowder Jr. of Dunfermline, IL, Steven (Jessica) Varnes of Spring Valley, IL; sister, Beulah Wilkinson of Canton, IL; 33 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. Vivian worked for Sapp Brothers and M&M News, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed going to Bingo and Casinos. She loved and enjoyed her family and will be greatly missed by them. Spending time with her family was the most important thing in her life. A graveside service will be held for both Robert Lowder Sr. 5/12/1932–11/4/2001 and Vivian Lowder 2/15/1935–6/22/2014 at White Chapel Cemetery in Canton, IL Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 12 Noon. A celebration of life will immediately follow the service at the American Legion in Canton, IL until 3 p.m. The family request casual dress. Memorials may be made to Phoenix Assembly of God in Phoenix, AZ in her name.
