Obituary for Virginia L. Lear
Virginia L. Lear, 91, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her residence.
She was born August 17, 1929 in Big Creek, IN to Albert and Rosella Moris Andress.
She married Ralph Lear in Peoria in 1953; he preceded her in death in 1983. Her son, Thomas Lear; parents and grandson, James Benjey, Jr. also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, James (Dolores) Benjey, Sr., Bernice Stewart; grandchildren, Brian Benjey, James (Elizabeth) Stewart and great-grandchildren, Roman, Sierra and Savannah.
Virginia was an in-home caregiver retiring in 1989. She loved her family very much. She was active in her church, Calvary Bible Church in Peoria and was a member of Forest Hill Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards.
Cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
