Obituary for Victoria Ely
Victoria L. Ely, 67, of Washburn passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born August 29, 1952 in Peoria to Marion D. and Betty A. Campbell Browning. Her parents and brother, David preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Angela (Troy) Shelby, Valary Ritter, Benjamin (Judy) Ely; grandchildren, Andrew Shelby, Brandon Shelby, Joseph (Elizabeth) Ritter, Joshua Ritter, Breanna Ely, Hannah Knott, Ryan Ely, Julie Ely, Arianna Upchurch, Nicole Joos; great-grandchildren, Elliot, Olivia, Gwendolyn and siblings, Linda Iechorn, Anna Fields and Fredrick Browning. Victoria worked in home health care until retiring in 2008. She loved helping others, she was a kind and giving person. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, she cooked for the Southside Mission for many years. She loved the outdoors, the farm and gardening but most of all she loved her family. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
