Obituary for Veda Mason
Veda Charlene Mason, 79, of Washington, IL passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born in Albion, IL on April 26, 1933 to Leroy and Irene Stennett Hallam. She married William A. Mason in Albion, IL on June 16, 1951. He preceded her in death January 17, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Joella Spruell, Hazel Masterson and brother, Charles Hallam. Surviving are her son, Wm. Timothy (Jackie) Mason of Washington, IL; brother, Robert Hallam of Minneapolis, MN; two granddaughters, Melissa (Tim) Gebhardt of Peoria, IL and Erin (Derrick) Brown of Eureka, IL; two great-grandsons, Mason and Miles and one great-granddaughter, Emerson. Veda last worked for Harbor Light Hospice. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Peoria in her name.
