Obituary for Tommy E. Wittekiend
Tommy Eugene Wittekiend, 69, of Green Valley, formerly of Creve Coeur, passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1939 to Bert and Grace (Pointer) Wittekiend. He married Emily Van Hook on October 27, 1962. She survives. Tommy is also survived by one daughter, Amy Wittekiend of Peoria, and one granddaughter, Bailey Grace. He was preceded in death by another daughter, Angela Kirk, on October 24, 2005. Tommy graduated from Illinois Central College and Sangamon State University. He worked at Pabst Brewing Company in Peoria Heights for 22 years, was a nursing home administrator for many years, and also worked at Bemis Bag Co. Graveside services will be held at Fon du Lac cemetery on Monday, December 1st at 1:30 PM. There will be no visitation.
