Obituary for Tina Mitchell
Tina Mitchell 88, of Pekin passed away on Wednesday June 3, 2009 at Pekin Manor. Born in Creve Coeur to John and Maria Canducci Pescaglia on June 1, 1921. She married Roland Mitchell on April 20, 1957; he preceded her in death on April 30, 2008. Also proceeding where her sisters; Ann Barrick and Teresa Perino. She is survived by her step-son Roger (Betsy) Mitchell of Morton, 2 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins. Tine was the owner of Tina-Ann Shoppe in Tremont for 9 years and Premier Loan Co. for 10 years. She was a member and past President of the V.F.W. in Morton, the Emblem Club and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a funeral mass will be held on Friday June 5, at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to her church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Abts Mortuary.
