Obituary for Thomas Godby
Thomas E. Godby, 64, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 9, 1949 in Peoria to Jesse and Dorothy Eigenbrod Godby. He married Laurie Johnson November 23, 1985 in Pekin. She survives along with his sons, Brett Godby of Pekin, Benjamin Godby of Pekin, Samuel Godby of Pekin; grandchildren, Sabrina, Thomas; brother, Terry (Theresa) Godby of Florida, Tab (Kathy) Godby of Green Valley; sisters, Toni (David) Faught of Pekin, Tamara (Jon) Cantrell of South Pekin and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Timothy Godby. Thomas worked at Havana Power Station as a Group Leader. He was a doting husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the VFW Hall in Pekin from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., everyone is welcome. Private family graveside services will be held.
