Obituary for Thomas Brushaber
Thomas Melvin Brushaber, 63 of Peoria, passed away on Thursday December 5, 2013 at his home. Thomas was born on December 10, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to Wilma (Hargis) of Knoxville, TN and the late Kenneth M. Brushaber. He married Peggy L. Carpenter Brushaber on April 18, 1981 she preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother Wilma, four sisters, Linda Narloch, Patricia Collins both of Knoxville, TN, Barbara Sweeney of Nashville, TN & Donna Helbing Mosinee, WI, one brother Craig Brushaber of Knoxville, TN, two daughters Ginger Leahy of Green Bay, WI & Sierra Gordon of Canton, IL, one son Kenneth Brushaber of Milwaukee, WI, four grandchildren, Brianna, Joseph, Garry & Ian, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is his father Kenneth, his wife Peggy, one step-son David Stevens and one granddaughter Annabelle Bohannon. Thomas loved his country & proudly served for over 20 years in the U.S. Army. He was a Vietnam & Saudi Arabia Veteran. He retired from the Army in 2001. Thomas has worked many different jobs since his retirement from the Army last working for Confidential Security Corp of Peoria. He was a member of the America Legion in Cuba, IL. Thomas enjoyed many things in his life. With his many years with the Army he loved to travel the world. He enjoyed line dancing, fishing, camping & bowling just to name a few. But most of he loved his time with his wife of 32 years Peggy, his family & friends. Upon his request there will be no funeral or visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Per his wishes there will be a memorial on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Victory Baptist Church located at 2414 W. Starr St, in Peoria from 3pm-5pm.
