Obituary for Theodore J. Burr
Theodore J. Burr, 66, of Peoria passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1955, in Peoria to Arthur N. and Nettie P. Warren Burr Sr. His parents; brother, Arthur Burr Jr., and stepmother, Sylvia Gail preceded him in death.
He married Lida S. Teel March 17, 2021, in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Toby Burr, Todd Burr; stepchildren, Josh Robinson, Jake Robinson, Justin Robinson, Jerome (Wendy) Hess, Monica (fiancée, Jeremy Bakken) Hess, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Theodore served in the U.S. Navy and worked in construction for Laborers’ Local 231 and Laborers’ Local 165 until retiring in 2017.
Theodore “Papa Ted” loved his family. He also loved his cat, Sydney. He enjoyed camping, fishing, the outdoors, nature, swimming, and playing pool with his pool league friends.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Peoria Aerie #265, 1704 S. East Lane, Peoria, IL 61605.
