Obituary for Teresa "Terry" Ann Vester
Teresa “Terry” Ann Vester, 61, of Sparland went home to be with her Lord at 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at home with her family by her side.
Terry was born on Aug. 4, 1959, in Peoria to Robert and Linda Pocklington. She married James “Jim” Vester on Sept. 15, 1979. Jim lovingly referred to her as “Runt” or “Little One” due to her small stature.
Surviving are her husband; her three children, Tabitha “Tabby” (and Andrew) Dorsey of Sparland, Robert “Bob” (and Kayla) Vester of Edelstein, and Mike Vester of Lacon; five grandchildren, Caleb and Isabella “Bella” Dorsey, Cade and Cam Vester, and Carter Vester; and her sister, Tanya Moffitt of Boone, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Terry worked as a phlebotomist for many years. Her favorite job was being a mother, which included being a foster mother for several children, including Sarah Harms, who calls her second mom still today. She loved and cared for them all as if they were her own children.
She was a small woman, but had a great faith in God. She wanted to share the wonderful word of God with any and every one that she met. She was forever relying on God.
She was always creating wonderful memories with her children and grandchildren. Everything from a tea party under her fairy tree, a hobo picnic, messages in a bottle, fun pranks, vacations, and so much more.
She will always be in our hearts and memories, but we know that she is now made new and home with our loving God.
The family will be having a private “going home” service.
