Obituary for Teresa Lynn Mylott
Teresa Lynn Mylott, 55, of Pekin IL, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
Teresa was born on August 19, 1967, to Nancy Curtis (Stone) and Terry Mylott.
Teresa was a Bar Manager and Bartender for 20 years at Pottsie’s Place in Pekin where she met her second family and impacted the lives of so many. Teresa grew very passionate about Pottsies and was not only known for her years of hard work but the comforting environment she created through her unique personality. Her personality included love, cracking inappropriate jokes, and motherly care, earning her the nickname “Mama T” to many. Teresa was a loyal fan of the Bears and Cubs sharing her love for the teams through watching games, cheering for them all times, and repping one of her many team t-shirts (An essential in her wardrobe). Teresa enjoyed spending time outside and taking care of her yard. Besides working, enjoying a Jim Beam and Diet Pepsi down at Pottsies, and spending time outside you could find Teresa sharing a treat (chocolate and cheetos) with her granddaughter, SkyLynn.
Teresa was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Curtis (Stone); her father, Terry Myott, and Tina Harrison whom she was best friends with for over 40 years.
Teresa will be greatly missed by her children, Tera Reagan (Josh McCreary), Kyle (Macey) Reagan; her two grandchildren, Skylynn McCreary and Oakley Reagan; her little sister, Jennie Chaney; her best friend, Holly Chism, and her many friends who became family over the years.
Teresa was family to all and a stranger to none. Celebrate her memory through showing strength, sharing deep belly laughs, and loving one another just as she would.
In lieu of a traditional memorial service, Teresa has requested to have a celebration of life which will take place on July 30, 2023, starting at 1p.m. and lasting all day at Pottsies Place 303 Margaret St. Pekin, IL.
In lieu of flowers the family requests you enjoy a beverage at Pottsie’s Place in her memory.
