Obituary for Teresa E. Sloan
Teresa E. Sloan, 83, of Peoria passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at her residence.
She was born March 28, 1940, in her childhood home in Metamora to John and Bertha DuBois Rudolph.
She married Leslie C. Sloan April 29, 1961; he preceded her in death September 29, 2001. Her parents; brother, Harold Rudolph and grandson, Eric C. Kastl also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Chester) Sloan-Spearman with whom she made her home, Karen (Danny) Lopez, Karla (Mark) Mabis; grandchildren, Nassara Sloan, Larissa Lopez, Danny Lopez, Courtney Kastl; great-grandchildren, Weslee, Isaiah; sister, Julie (Jerry) Fuchs and many nieces and nephews.
Teresa worked at many gas stations later in life and made lots of friends over the years. She was known for being lucky at Bingo and the Lottery. She was also known for her stubbornness, she passed that on to her three strong stubborn daughters.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Peoria Police Benevolent Association 3703 Airport Road, Bartonville, IL 61607.
Memorials may be made to Sarcoma Foundation of America in her name.
