Obituary for Sylvia Jean Delicath
Sylvia Jean Delicath 82, of East Peoria passed away Monday April 12, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center. She was born to Emil and Marguerite Casserly Olin in Zeigler, IL on August 3, 1927. She married Jerry A. Delicath on December 31, 1948 in Peoria, he preceded her in death on October 15, 2009. Her parents, grand-daughter Laurie, sister Elizabeth and brother William also preceded her in death. Sylvia is survived by her sons; Randy Michael Delicath of Peoria and Mark William (Sue) Delicath of East Peoria, daughter Mary Susan (Ross Durbala) Delicath of Peoria, grandchildren; Katrina, Stephen, Joshua, Samuel, Jonathon, Alexander and 2 great-grandchildren. Sylvia was a Teacher in East Peoria, Germantown Hills and Washington retiring in 1987, she was also retired from the First Federated Church in Peoria as the organist. Sylvia was a member of SAI and Retired Teachers. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
