Obituary for Susan Jane Schoenbein
Susan Jane Schoenbein, 86, of East Peoria passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at her son’s residence in Chillicothe after losing her fight with breast cancer.
She was born July 16, 1938, to Frederick J. and Elisa A. Koen Mang.
She married Raymond Schoenbein; he preceded her in death. Her parents and son-in-law, Earl Dowds also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Tina (William) Jones, Mary Jane Dowds, Raymond (Johnie) McCoy; grandchildren, Fred (Kelly) Snow, William (Nicki) Snow, Bailey McCoy, Creedon McCoy and four great-grandchildren.
Susan previously worked for OSF and Caterpillar, retiring in 1996.
She loved her family. She was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed volunteering and having monthly lunches at the Blind Center.
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at later date.
