Obituary for Sue Redfield
Sue McCoy-Redfield 65, of East Peoria passed away Thursday July 1, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She passed away following an unexpectedly short battle with cancer. She was born July 28, 1944 in Peoria to Clifton and Virginia Cruise McCoy. After her father’s death, she was raised by her mother and step-father Charles “Chuck” Jackson. She married Chauncey Redfield in 1997. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by both of her fathers. She is survived by her mother; Virginia “Ginny” Jackson of Peoria, sons; Michael Tieg McCoy and Brent Rodich both of Peoria, brothers; Dale (Gini) McCoy of Washington, Dean (Kathleen) McCoy of Pekin, Bill (Cheryl) Jackson of East Peoria, Bob (Joanne) Jackson of East Peoria, Rick (Jenny) Jackson of Marquette Heights and sister; Kim Kinder of Morton. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Sue was a bar manager at various bars in East Peoria. She enjoyed her gardening, pets, antiques and crafts. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to TAPS in Pekin. A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date
