Obituary for Steven Bock
Steven F. Bock, 80, of Peoria passed away peacefully after a long struggle on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Proctor Place in Peoria. He was born April 8, 1937 in Peoria to Albert and Grace Minor Bock. He married Ruth E. Conley November 28, 1956 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Robert Bock of Hanna City, Richard Bock of Hanna City, Robin (David) Boyd of Peoria; brothers, James Bock of Canton, Edward (Kris) Bock of Hanna City; sisters-in-law, Erma Conley, Dolly Conley; eight grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His parents and sons, Russell Bock and Ronald Bock preceded him in death. In 1966, Steven began farming the family farm. He also previously owned and operated B’s Paint and Body in Hanna City with his brother, Ed. He was a butcher for Callahan and Raber. He was a member of Peoria County Farm Bureau, Blue Lodge 46 A.F. A.M. in Peoria and Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria where a memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Pastor Richard Wehrs will officiate. Memorials may be made to the church in Steven’s name. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
