Obituary for Stephen L. Schwinn
Stephen L. Schwinn, 56, of Marquette Heights passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born May 8, 1965, in Peoria to Gottfried and Virginia Smith Schwinn. His father and brother, Edward Schwinn preceded him in death.
He married Sherry A. Hawkins July 3, 2015; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Patrick Schwinn, Brandon (Sarah) Baker, Courtney Baker; mother, Virginia Schwinn and sister, Christine (Derek) Hamm.
Stephen worked for Kress Corporation retiring in 2015.
He loved his family and was proud of his kids. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting and repairing clocks. He coached youth baseball and basketball. Stephen loved dogs, animals, trains, playing chess and working on his old cars. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
