Obituary for Shirley Roeschley
Shirley A. Roeschley, 86, of Peoria passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born November 12, 1932 to Chris and Sophie Widmer Leuthold. She married Clifford R. Roeschley on August 29, 1954 in East Peoria; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Linda (John) Wengert, Dale (Mike) Roeschley, Judi (Chuck) Zilch; grandchildren, Jamison Zilch, Kristin (James) Werry; siblings, Eula Arnett, Dean (Mary Jane) Leuthold, Robert Leuthold, Betty (C.R.) McDonald and many nieces and nephews. Her parents and siblings, Virgil Leuthold, Leroy Leuthold and Eunice Richrath preceded her in death. Shirley worked for Berean Book Store; retiring in 1992. She was a devoted wife of 64 years, mother and grandmother. She was quiet but when she spoke, she had words of wisdom, kindness and encouragement. Shirley was a faithful Christian and member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Peoria. Cremation has been accorded and a private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to the Peoria Rescue Ministries P.O. Box 837 Peoria, IL 61652 in her name.
