Obituary for Shireen Coats Schwartz
Shireen S. Coats Schwartz, 66, of Chillicothe passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Unity Point Methodist in Peoria. She was born July 12, 1947 in Pekin to Richard and Winifred Kalb Seegar. She married Ronald J. Schwartz October 29, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV, he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Courtney (Donald) Cantrell of Chillicothe; son, Corey (Shannon) Coats of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, DeLaney, Hailey, Lindsey, Sidney, Xander and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Shawn Seegar. Shireen was a cosmetologist and a successful business owner/operator of Shireen’s Finishing Touch in Peoria for many years. She was a graduate of Flamingo Beauty College and National Champion of Cosmetology. She loved her grandbabies very much. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Peoria Pizza Works in Peoria Heights. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Career Logics Institute of Hair Design 1904 Sheridan Rd, Pekin, IL 61554 c/o Shireen Seegar Cosmetology Fund.
