Obituary for Sharon Gay Closen
Sharon Gay Closen, 72, of Bartonville, IL passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
She was born December 4, 1950, in Lafollette, TN to Walter “Wuzzy” and Jean Watkins Meister. Her parents; grandparents, Arthur & Mable Watkins, Roscoe & Sarah Riggs and her beloved Rat Terrier, Baby Doll preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Brooke (Benjamin) Potter of Peoria, IL; uncle, Doyle Watkins of Jacksboro, TN and many loved cousins throughout Tennessee.
Sharon had a great career with Ozark Air Lines and TWA (Trans World Airlines) and enjoyed the benefits of travel with her daughter and parents.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in her name.
