Obituary for Sandra Slimko
Sandra Kay Slimko, 65, of Varna passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was born June 29, 1954 in Spring Valley to Louis and Marjorie Lishman Burnell.
She married Lee J. Slimko; he preceded her in death July 8, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Gene Burnell; sisters, Lois Burnell, Mary Banta and nephew, Dee Minchew.
She is survived by her children, Tracey L. (Chris) Zilm, Eric L. Slimko; grandchildren, Brandon (Makayla) Slimko, Thomas Compton, Tiffany Compton; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Madison, Jasmine, Jordan; siblings, Linda (Wayne) Hugget, Carol (Mike) Minchew, June Bishop and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra worked for Casey’s and was the owner of the Video Station in Lacon. She enjoyed car shows especially Mustangs, playing on her computer, fishing, and boating on Lake Wildwood. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
