Sandra Elizabeth Rusch died on May 24

, 2015 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Sandra was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, on February 9
th
, 1958 to Jeanette (Horn) Rusch and Roger Arnold Rusch. She graduated from high school in Grafton, Wisconsin, in 1976 and from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1980. She earned an Associate Degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and pursued a career in textile design, creating many wonderful fabrics. In 1992, in response to visual challenges from her multiple sclerosis, she returned to school at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where she earned a MBA degree, which she used in a variety of business roles. Sandra is survived by her sisters, Sara Rusch (Thomas Cusack) of Peoria and Nancy Rusch (Anthony Crosariol) of Little Rock, Arkansas. She also was loved by nieces (Sandra, Caroline, Katherine) and nephews (Patrick, Christopher, Chad, Andrew, Daniel, Matthew) as well as their families including 8 grandnieces and grandnephews. She had many close friends, including childhood friend Susan Cary and close friends Anne Corkery and Marie Rose. Sandra had an adventuresome and independent spirit, and dealt with her illness with grace and determination. A family memorial service will be held this summer in Wisconsin. Memorials may be made to the OSF Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
