Obituary for Sandra "Darlene" Reno
Sandra “Darlene” Reno, 85, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.
She was born September 10, 1939, in Peoria to Harry and Opal Batterton Goodin.
She married Richard Reno; he preceded her in death in 2022. Her late husband, Donald Davis; grandson, Thomas Lafary; parents; brothers, Bill Goodin, Gerald Goodin, Don Goodin and sisters, Shirley Zachman, Joyce Griffith and Judy Clark also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Lori) Davis, Deb (Kevin) Lafary, Brad (Annette) Davis, Lisa (Dustin) Goggil; grandchildren, Brandon (Dominque) Davis, Bradley Lafary, Jeffrey (Caelin) Lafary, Jacob (Courtney) Davis, Mallory Davis, Dalton Goggil, Devon Goggil and great-grandchildren, Reese Davis, Koa Davis, Brooks Lafary, Banks Lafary and Memphis Lafary.
Darlene had a home day care retiring in 2020.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching them play sports. She also loved her day care children. Darlene enjoyed the annual family fishing trips.
She had a special niece, Billie Jackson that preceded her in death, who together with Darlene were known as Thelma & Louise.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
