Obituary for Sammie Franklin Sr.
Sammie Ray Franklin Sr. 80, of Creve Coeur, IL passed away Monday October 3, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born August 7, 1931 in Clay City, IL to Roy and Irene Hohlbauche Franklin. He married Lucy Glass March 13, 1959, she preceded him in death August 30, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Franklin. He is survived by his children, Sammie Ray Franklin, Jr. of Creve Coeur, IL, Jamie Franklin of Creve Coeur, IL, Scott (Dawn) Franklin of Pekin, IL, Lisa (Bob) Murray of Florida, Toni Franklin of Florida, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Sammie worked for Pepsi for 27 years. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
