Obituary for Ruth Platt
Ruth K. Platt, 72, of Chillicothe passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at home. She was born September 30, 1945 in Peoria. Her mother, Ruth Humphrey; step-father, Lyle Humphrey and brother, Thomas Ganion preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Smith, Jennifer (Bill) Winchell, Shari (Zach) Beintema; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Twomey and brother, Adolph Ganion III. Ruth was a Gold Star Sister of the American Legion Post 2 in Peoria. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Per her wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice in Peoria or the Kidney Foundation in her name.
