Obituary for Ruth Lewis
Ruth Lewis, 91, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 10, 1925 in Halls, TN to Newt and Ada Whittemore Bushart. She married William F. Lewis November 1, 1945; he preceded her in death August 24, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Lewis and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Pamela Getz, Charlotte Luporini, Terry Lewis, Aron (Kari) Lewis, Carol (Sam) Brown, Rebecca (Randy) Christianson, Patricia Thorpe, David (Amie) Lewis; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Ruth loved her home and family. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her name.
