Ronald Ralph Santee, 61, of Manito, IL passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Peoria, IL.
He was born on September 3, 1964, in Cambridge, OH to Russell Eugene and Jeanne R Santee. His father and brother, Rick Santee preceded him in death.
Ron is survived by his devoted partner, Maria Mills, family members Michael (Erin) Lane, Mary Anna (Trent Orr) Lane, grandchildren Letty, Addie, and Ainslie; mother, Jeanne Santee; siblings, Robin (Jerry) Baum, Robert (Cathy) Santee, Karen (Kirk) Kocsis; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronnie loved his work and had over 40 years of experience in auto body and frame repair, specializing in high end vehicles. He had extensive training in his field and even won the Holmes Tuttle Ford Outstanding Performance Award two years in a row and the Bravo Zulu Outstanding Work Performance Honor for four consecutive years. He poured himself into his work, taking pride in every detail, but his true joy was found in the people he loved.
Ronnie adored his family and friends. His devotion was evident in the way he showed up for others. He was more than a partner, son, brother, and friend - he was a light in every room he entered. His energy was captivating. He had such a warm, giving heart and always had a smile on his face. His positivity was infectious.
He lived life to its fullest, always active. His happiest moments were spent outdoors, whether camping, fishing, hunting, or enjoying his RC cars. He was a championship bass fisherman, competing in tournaments, and a member of the Tucson Bass Club for several years. Ronnie was very compassionate, always thinking of others. He selflessly volunteered for homeless basket drives and fundraisers such as Bowling for Kids Sake, BBQ Bash and Wild Game Dinners for Variety Children’s Charities. He gave without expecting anything in return, and his generosity touched countless lives.
Ronnie lived with a spirit of adventure and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Though he is no longer with us, Ronnie’s legacy lives on in the joy he spread, the kindness he shared, and the memories we hold dear. He will forever be remembered as a man with a warm soul, a vibrant spirit, and a heart that never stopped giving. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held at this time.
