Obituary for Ronald Gilles
Ronald L. Gilles 68, of Ipava passed away Wednesday May 19, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born September 22, 1941 to Francis and Gladys Doering Gilles in Peoria, they preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons; Kevin Gilles of Peoria, Shane Gilles of East Peoria, Ralph Gilles of Washburn, and 6 siblings; Nancy Dalton of Canton, Roger Gilles of Peoria, Carolyn Huffman of Sunnyland, Linda Beldon of Peoria, Steven Gilles of Kickapoo and Sharon Graf of TX. He was also survived by 8 grandchildren. Ronald worked for Caterpillar retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Kickapoo Sportsmens Club and the Slow Pokes Car Club. Everyone that knew Ron could watch him turn a rusted car shell into a Cherry Street Machine, he did well over 20 Mustangs and 1930’s Fords. He loved to hunt, fish and teach his children everything he knew. Cremation has been accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
