Roger John Bisanz, 90, of Washington, IL, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Eureka, IL.
Roger was born May 25, 1935, in Dubuque, IA, to Albert & Loretta Bisanz. He married Sandra J. Shields on February 8, 1975, in Peoria, IL.
He was preceded in death by brother, Robert “Bobby” and sister, Patricia “Patty”. He leaves behind his wife, Sandy; his children, John Bisanz and Kathy (Roger) Obourn; grandchildren, Christopher, Scott, Kaitlyn, Brandyn, and Jared and great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Casen, Caden, and James.
Roger received an accounting degree from Loras College in Dubuque and served all over the world in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958. Roger worked many years at the NLRB and retired as an Administrative Judge. Roger & Sandy were members of the IVY Club and spent many hours boating with family and friends on the Illinois River around Peoria. Roger was a Life Long Cubs Fan and cherished seeing their World Series win in 2016. He was a devout Catholic and loved the Lord.
No visitation will be held. Roger will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be given to St Patrick Catholic Church in Washington, IL or to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org in his name.
