Roger A. Routt, 69, of East Peoria passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born on July 21, 1956, in Peoria to Albert and Virginia Bohm Routt. His parents; wives, Susan Routt, Wanda Routt; brother, Randy Routt and sisters, Diane Pierson and Linda Watts preceded him in death.
Roger is survived by his stepson, Bret (Angie) Tramel; brother, Steven (Juanita) Routt; sister-in-law, Lindy Routt and he was a devoted uncle to Eric Routt, Ken Routt, Amy (Angela) Watts, Zane Watts, Lisa (Matthew) Garcia, Donny Pierson, Samantha Pierson, Ashley (Austin) Glover, Amber Pierson, Tommy (Sara) Pierson, Angi David, Ezarah David, Kenzi David and Mat (Ashley) Routt.
Roger worked for Caterpillar, retiring in 2022.
He loved his family and spoiling his wife and nieces and nephews. He also loved riding his Harleys, joking, telling stories and helping with others sense of humor. Roger enjoyed playing guitar and music. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and Chicago Cubs fan.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, The Ark or TAPS in his name.
