Obituary for Robert Strohmaier
Robert Frank Strohmaier, 90, of Yates City passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born August 10, 1922 in Peru to Frank and Louise Pirz Strohmaier. He married Helen Bridgewater October 19, 1942 in Palmyra, MO. She preceded him in death February 1, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, David Strohmaier; daughter, Mary Wilson; several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Robert Strohmaier of Farmington; daughter-in-law, Julie Strohmaier of Lacon; brother, Art Strohmaier of LaSalle and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Caterpillar as a tool & dye maker. Cremation has been accorded and private graveside services will be held at a later date in LaSalle. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor’s choice or take your loved ones out to eat in his honor.
