Obituary for Robert Singer
Robert Andrew Singer, 53, of Peoria, IL passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born December 14, 1959 in Cambridge, OH to Joseph and Elizabeth Lisi Singer. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Singer of Brooksville, FL; sons, Joey Singer of Crystal Lake, IL, Daniel Singer of Crystal Lake, IL; significant other, Luanne Atterberry of Peoria, IL and her children, Ashley Atterberry of Carbondale, IL and Jacob Atterberry of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Tom) Johnson; brothers, Joe (Julie) Singer, Michael (Maria) Singer, John (Susan) Singer and several nieces and nephews. Robert had a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University. He worked as a Sales Manager for Donelson Corporation in Peoria, IL. He was involved with the Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus and Illinois Sportsman’s Club. He was a member of Coyote Creek where he loved to golf. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church 7422 N. Heinz Lane, Edwards, IL 61528 at 7:30 p.m. with visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church. Dr. Ritch Boerckel Senior Pastor will officiate. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Cemetery 1185 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL 60067. Memorials may be made to Brain Cancer Research in his name.
