Obituary for Robert "Muskrat" L. Mercer Sr.
Robert “Muskrat” L. Mercer Sr., 83, of Pekin passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at River Crossing of Peoria.
He was born October 19, 1939, in Peoria to Roy and Florence Hoshor Mercer. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Annette Stahl, Robert L. Mercer Jr., Randall (Christie) Mercer, Rory (Michelle) Mercer, Jeremy Mercer, Amanda (Tim) Brown; stepchildren, Michael Hughes, Amanda Long; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and he was the loving husband of Marty Mercer.
Robert loved his family and his chihuahuas. He also loved hunting, fishing, Colorado, and the outdoors. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed gun shows.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
