Obituary for Robert L. Thompson
Robert L. Thompson, 70, of Peoria passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born November 26, 1952, in Peoria to Bobbie L. and Betty Bowman Thompson. His parents; brother, Steve Thompson and sister, Becky Thompson preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Erich (Heidi) Thompson; granddaughter, Aubrey Thompson; sister, Debra (Gordy) Stephens and many nieces and nephews.
Robert served eight years in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division as a legal clerk. He worked for S & S Builders Hardware, retiring in 2015.
Robert loved his family, tinkering and playing pool. He enjoyed fishing, throwing darts, mushroom hunting and was an avid hunter.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
