Obituary for Robert King
Robert Dean King, 91, of Topeka passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Pekin. He was born December 26, 1928 in Pekin to John Henry and Alice Benjamin King. He was previously married to E. LaVerne Stovall Hightower; she survives. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Cindy Bozarth, Glen Steven Hayes; six step-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanore Parks and two half-sisters, Vickie and Priscilla. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked on the railroad as a Brakeman Conductor. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, playing golf, lifting weights and riding his stationary bike. Robert loved his family especially his grandkids. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
